The Skyanalog R-25 hi-fi rack draws on decades of MC cartridge engineering and applies that thinking to equipment support. Each shelf hangs mechanically decoupled from the next, reducing the transfer of structural vibration through the frame. Consequently, resonant energy is dissipated in a controlled way rather than building up within the structure, leaving components to perform on a quieter foundation.

Adjustable damping via a calibrated torque wrench

At every suspension point, tension can be fine-tuned to taste. Lower torque opens things up, adding air and spaciousness; a mid-range setting brings balance and coherence; higher torque tightens focus and drive. Since each unit ships with its own calibrated torque wrench, this isn't a one-off factory setting — it's an ongoing tuning tool. The rack thereby becomes an active part of system voicing, not just a place to park components.

Yan Damping technology

Skyanalog's Yan Damping technology, originally developed to tame micro-resonance in its cartridges, sits at the heart of the R-25's design. Here, that same principle is scaled up to whole-system resonance management. The result is a rack built on established engineering rather than a generic furniture solution repurposed for hi-fi.

Materials and modular build

Shelves are made from selected birch plywood, while the metal framework is machined from 6063 aluminium — the same grade used in aerospace applications. CNC precision machining and a fine surface finish reflect Skyanalog's factory-level craftsmanship. Above all, the system is modular: shelves can be added as a system grows, so the rack expands with the collection rather than needing replacement.
