AudioQuest cables are American high-end signal cables, built since 1980 on a single guiding principle: do no harm to the signal. While most cables use stranded conductors, AudioQuest consistently chooses solid-core conductors. As a result, strand interaction — a key source of dynamic distortion — is completely eliminated.
Since insulation affects the signal, AudioQuest developed the patented Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) in 2004. This system permanently biases the insulation with a 72-volt electrostatic field. Therefore, energy storage in the dielectric is minimised, resulting in greater transparency and a noticeably quieter background.
Furthermore, higher-level models feature Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) or Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors with an exceptionally smooth surface. Besides this, the Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) efficiently drains RF noise without compromising the earth reference.
