Audes ST-200 power conditioner – Compact Galvanic Isolation for Source Components

The Audes ST-200 power conditioner is a compact mains isolator developed by Estonian manufacturer Audes as an entry-level solution or expansion for existing ST-series installations. At the heart of the Audes ST-200 power conditioner is a specially developed 200 VA isolation transformer — the same transformer used in the TT-series — that galvanically isolates connected equipment from the mains. With four CEE 7/3 sockets, the ST-200 offers a practical and affordable solution for source components and digital equipment.

Expansion for Existing ST-Series Power Conditioners

The ST-200 is specifically designed as a companion to larger Audes power conditioners in the ST-series. Combined with an ST-1500DC, the configuration becomes technically equivalent to the TT-1700DC. This allows power components and source components to each receive their own isolated transformer supply. The ST-200 is also well suited to components with switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), which can be isolated on a separate transformer away from analogue components.

Effective Filtering of Mains Pollution

The isolation transformer filters mains noise via controlled leakage inductance and capacitance. All four CEE 7/3 sockets are fully galvanically isolated from the external mains network. The symmetrical output voltage is referenced to an artificial centre tap connected to the earth contacts of each socket. Mains plug polarity is therefore irrelevant.

Protection Circuits

The ST-200 features a fuse for overcurrent protection and thermal protection that shuts down at 90 °C and reconnects automatically at 75 °C. Unlike the larger ST-models, the ST-200 has no integrated DC blocker — when connected to an existing Audes power conditioner this is not required, as the primary transformer already delivers DC-free power.
