Aurender N20 – network player with OCXO clock and linear power supply

The Aurender N20 network player is a pure digital transport — no DAC, no shortcuts. Where most sources compromise somewhere in the chain, the N20 is built around a single principle: deliver the cleanest, most time-coherent digital signal possible. A fully linear power supply with two transformers and four cores feeds the output stages in complete galvanic isolation, resulting in a noise floor that most components in this category cannot match.

OCXO clock and transformer-isolated outputs

The N20 runs a high-precision OCXO clock with four to ten times greater frequency stability than the N10 it supersedes. Every SPDIF output — AES/EBU, coaxial RCA, BNC and TOSLINK — has its grounding isolated by a dedicated transformer. The result is a measurably lower noise floor across all digital outputs. Pair it with a serious external DAC and the N20 will show you exactly what your converter is capable of.

Caching, storage and network isolation

Music plays from a 500 GB M.2 NVMe cache SSD, keeping mechanical drives idle during playback. Two internal bays accept 2.5-inch HDDs or SSDs up to 8 TB each — storage is user-installable and entirely optional. The double-isolated Gigabit Ethernet port filters router-induced noise before it reaches the audio chain. A word clock input allows synchronisation with an external reference clock, pushing SPDIF output performance even further. Tidal and Qobuz integrate directly via the Aurender Conductor app.

Roon Ready and format support

The N20 is fully Roon Ready, functioning as a Roon Endpoint on your local network. The Intel Quad Core processor handles everything up to native DSD512 without breaking a sweat. A supercapacitor-based UPS protects the OS and installed drives against sudden power loss. Available in black or silver.
