Audio Resurgence amplifiers are handcrafted British Class A amplifiers. While Alchemist Products was founded in 1989 by Andy Light and Glen Gayle, it quickly achieved cult status. Although Alchemist eventually ceased trading, its spirit lives on through Audio Resurgence.
Since the same creative team has reunited, continuity is genuine. Andy Light once again brings his unmistakable industrial aesthetic. Meanwhile, Glen Gayle handles all circuit design. Furthermore, the late Tim de Paravicini left behind designs now being realised — including the forthcoming Signature Series AR102A.
The current range centres on the Kraken Evolution AR6A. This is an Audio Resurgence amplifier that retains the original Alchemist circuit with an evolved heatsink for greater Class A performance. Besides the integrated, the Kraken Pre and Power are available separately. Moreover, all models accept an optional phono module and single or dual external power supply.
