Canor Audio high-end audio has been crafted in Prešov, Slovakia since 1995. While most manufacturers install tubes without further selection, Canor developed its own measurement systems. These characterise and match every tube individually. As a result, each amplifier leaves the factory with precisely paired valves. This delivers exceptional channel separation and remarkably low distortion. Moreover, Canor applies its proprietary CMT circuit board milling technology. This reduces dielectric losses in the signal path to levels comparable with point-to-point wiring.

Four product lines

The range spans four clearly defined lines. The Reference Line sits at the top. It offers tube preamplifiers and monoblock power amplifiers for uncompromising systems. However, most listeners will find everything they need in the Premium Line. This includes tube integrated amplifiers with KT88 valves in Class A, tube CD players with DAC and tube phono preamplifiers. Furthermore, the Performance Line adds hybrid amplifiers and tube DACs. Finally, the Foundation Line offers fully discrete solid-state circuitry with a dual ESS 9038 DAC chip.

Tubes and solid-state

Although Canor is celebrated as a tube specialist, the range also includes solid-state and hybrid designs. The Virtus A3 combines a tube Class A input stage with a solid-state Class A/B output stage. Since it also integrates a DAC and MM/MC phono input, it forms a complete all-in-one solution.
