Novus Audio is now a Morel dealer in the Netherlands
We are delighted to announce that Novus Audio is now an official Morel dealer in the Netherlands. Morel has been designing and building loudspeakers and drive units since 1975, and it is a name that seasoned listeners tend to recognise instantly, even if they have mostly heard its drivers inside other brands’ cabinets.
About Morel
Founded in Israel by Meir Mordechai, Morel takes its name from Mordechai Electro-Acoustics. Design, research and manufacturing all happen under one roof, and every driver is assembled by hand before it goes into a pair of Morel loudspeakers. For decades, Morel’s drive units have also found their way into designs from other well-regarded high-end marques. That is rather a good reference.
Engineering behind Morel loudspeakers
Morel’s soft dome tweeters, with their hand-applied Acuflex coating, and its lightweight Hexatech voice coils give the brand its signature: quick, detailed and refreshingly unforced. The hexagonal wire allows a narrow magnetic gap and low moving mass, which helps Morel loudspeakers respond swiftly to transients. Voices sound open and natural, while the bass stays taut and well controlled.
From Avyra to Sopran
That character runs through the whole range, from the keenly priced Avyra series to the hand-built Sopran floorstanders with Mundorf-equipped crossovers. As a Morel stockist, we can help you choose between them, whether you have a compact living room or a dedicated listening space.
Why we chose Morel
We only take on brands whose engineering and build we genuinely believe in. Morel earns its place through in-house development, hand assembly and a long track record as a driver supplier to other high-end makers. Being a Morel dealer in the Netherlands means we can offer loudspeakers that are technically sound and pair well with the amplification and sources in our range.
