The PrimaLuna EVO 400 Tube Preamplifier is the only model in the EvoLution preamplifier range with balanced XLR inputs and a balanced XLR output. XLR connectivity and low output impedance

Two balanced XLR inputs allow connection of DACs, CD players and other source components with balanced outputs. Furthermore, the XLR output delivers a balanced signal to power amplifiers with XLR inputs — consequently allowing the entire signal path from source to speaker to remain fully balanced. Since output impedance is just 256 ohms, the EVO 400 moreover drives virtually any power amplifier and cable length without signal degradation. As a result, it combines maximum connectivity with the low output impedance that demanding systems require.

Premium components and dual mono construction

Six 12AU7 valves and two 5AR4 rectifier valves work in a dual mono circuit with two separate toroidal transformers. Since left and right channels are consequently fully independent, channel separation is maximised and stereo imaging is precise.
