Since the circuit is stripped of everything non-essential, it therefore sounds immediate, fast and emotionally direct in a way that more complex designs rarely match. The XA25 circuit in an integrated chassis

The amplifier circuit is essentially identical to that of the Pass Labs XA25 power amplifier — Class A push-pull without degenerative feedback, 25 W per channel into 8 ohms. As a result, it shares the directness, tonal richness and immediate dynamic response of the XA25 in a more compact and accessible package. Furthermore, the circuit operates entirely in Class A at all times — there is no transition to Class B at higher output levels. The character is thereby consistent from the quietest passage to full volume.

The INT-25 excels at normal listening volumes — the level at which most music is actually heard. Voices sit in the room rather than behind the speakers, guitars have body and shimmer, and timing feels locked-in without sounding forced. Since the volume control operates in 1 dB steps over a 63 dB range, gain adjustment is moreover exceptionally precise at low levels.
