Spatial Europe MC Series No6 – AMT tweeter, Acoustic Elegance woofer and pure silver internal wiring

The MC flagship — a fundamentally different architecture

The Spatial Europe MC Series No6 is the flagship of the MC range and introduces a fundamentally different three-way concept from the No1 through No5. A 15-inch Acoustic Elegance dual voice coil woofer with copper Faraday bushing, a separate 10-inch midrange driver with ultra-light cardboard membrane, and a dipole AMT tweeter with waveguide together achieve a frequency response from 22 Hz to 23 kHz. Consequently, the No6 combines the deepest bass extension in the MC range with the finest high-frequency resolution. Furthermore, internal wiring for the midrange and high-frequency sections uses pure silver solid-core cable — a component choice that places the No6 clearly above every other model in the range. The MC Series No6 is available at Novus Audio in Kampen.

Acoustic Elegance woofer with Faraday bushing — bass to 22 Hz

The 15-inch Acoustic Elegance dual voice coil woofer features a copper Faraday bushing in the magnet around the voice coil, thereby eliminating inductance variation and rendering any absorption circuit unnecessary. Consequently, bass reproduction reaches down to 22 Hz and is free from the non-linear distortion that afflicts conventional woofer designs. Open-baffle construction furthermore ensures dipole radiation, which significantly reduces room mode excitation compared to closed systems. Spatial Europe recommends a minimum listening distance of 3 metres in a room of at least 30 m².

Separate 10-inch midrange and dipole AMT tweeter

The No6 is the only model in the MC range to use a separate 10-inch midrange driver — equipped with an ultra-light cardboard membrane and fabric surround for minimal moving mass and maximum transient speed. A dipole AMT tweeter with waveguide and optimised aluminium rear cover furthermore handles high frequencies, extending response to 23 kHz with extremely low distortion and exceptionally fast air displacement. The series crossover drives all three transducers from a single shared network, therefore maximising phase cooperation across the full frequency range. Above all, the combination of separate midrange and AMT tweeter delivers a resolution and spaciousness that no coaxial system can match.

Silver solid-core wiring and reference-grade components

Pure silver solid-core internal wiring for midrange and high frequencies, copper solid-core for bass — a combination typically found in loudspeakers at two to three times the price. Audyn True Silver capacitors handle the midrange and high-frequency crossover; Jantzen copper foil wax coils, Jantzen air coils, Jantzen MKT bass capacitors, and Mundorf Supreme resistors complete the network. POM absorbers matched to the speaker's weight are furthermore included as standard. Spatial Europe recommends pairing the No6 with Spatial Europe Wire No3.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the MC Series No6 fundamentally different from the No5?

The No6 replaces the coaxial driver with a separate 10-inch midrange and a dipole AMT tweeter — a completely different three-way concept. Furthermore, pure silver solid-core internal wiring and Audyn True Silver capacitors are used for the midrange and high-frequency sections. Consequently, the No6 surpasses the No5 in both technical sophistication and sonic resolution.

Which amplifiers suit the Spatial Europe MC Series No6?

Spatial Europe recommends the AMP No2 or AMP No3 as optimal tube amplifier partners. Thanks to the 94 dB sensitivity, the No6 also works superbly with high-quality solid-state amplifiers. Contact Novus Audio for personalised advice on the best pairing for your system.

What is the minimum room size for the Spatial Europe MC Series No6?

Spatial Europe recommends a minimum room of 30 m² with at least 75 cm clearance behind the speaker and a listening distance of at least 3 metres — more demanding than the smaller models. For smaller rooms, the No4 or No5 is the more suitable choice. Our specialists are happy to advise on the right model for your space.
